March 13, 2010 | No Comment

‘Malware Defense’ is quite ubiquitous now-a-days, which is a bogus antispyware software intended to create panic in you thinking that your PC is populated with malware and viruses. Trojan viruses are the originators of this malware and have the support of spurious websites. FakeAlert is a modification of the anti-spyware program. After it gets installed on your computer, this fake software will routinely conduct a ‘bogus security scan’ on starting windows and promptly indicate that your PC is infected with viruses. ‘Malware Defense’, then will induce you to buy the complete version of the program so as to eliminate these threats. Please do not get deceived by this ploy and it is important to get rid of this spyware before any serious impairment occurs.

The false report will reveal that numerous viruses have tainted your system files. It is quite possible that most of the files mentioned in the report could be real system files. Never ever get rid of these files as deleting such files could make your computer unreliable. In addition to the bogus report, ‘Malware Defense’ will generate ‘false security warnings’ in the following vein:

An unauthorized antivirus program is found on your PC. It is suggested that you delete the program as it could clash with ‘Malware Defense’.

Several of these warnings such as ‘your IE is infected’ are intended to alarm you and prompt you into buying the complete version. Similar to the false scan, these warnings too are bogus and should be disregarded. ‘Malware Defense’ could immobilize the computer’s firewall or anti-virus programs making your PC susceptible to serious risks and as such deleting this malware is crucial to the security of your computer.

In case you are accustomed with deletion of files and registry editing, the removal of ‘Malware Defense’ can be done manually. A rapid search on the net will let you know the files and registry entries that are required to be removed. The trouble with deleting the registry entries manually is that it is very much protracted and in case you made a slip up, your operating system may not function at all. Furthermore, your PC will be shielded from any prospective spyware attacks on your using genuine anti-spyware software.

Remember, it is vital to delete the ‘Malware Defense’ on getting first alert of its presence in your computer. Delaying this action may make your computer to have serious problems.
